Library Collections
The Library has a collection of more than 1310 print volumes which include books, monographs, research reports, current issues and back volumes of periodicals and a comprehensive collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, All subjects related to the University’s academic and research programs have been covered in the collection.
Books
The library, College of Agriculture and Research Station, Marra having 1310 books in a initial stage now the collection development programme for our library is first priority to rich the collection and provide the service effectively .The data base of in-house collection is developing in Under Koha Library Software.
Periodicals
Periodicals are magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers, and newsletters. They are publications that are published at regular intervals. Daily newspapers, weekly magazines, and quarterly journals are all periodicals.
Many periodicals are written for a general audience whose readers are not expected to have specialized knowledge or training. We usually call these periodicals magazines. However, probably even more periodicals are written for specialists and have articles that are difficult for readers who lack that background. Institutional Repositary
Repositories are important for Institution in helping to manage and capture intellectual assets as a part of their information strategy. Repositories can provide linking to other repositories and can also provide machine processable data to support HE institutions to address the challenges.
